A silver rat tail pattern canteen of table flatware for twelve place settings; comprising; twelve pairs of fish knives and forks, four serving spoons, four serving forks, a small sauce ladle, a soup ladle, twelve dessert spoons, twelve soup spoons, twelve sundae spoons, twelve teaspoons, twelve table forks, twelve dessert forks, twelve coffee spoons, a four piece carving set, twelve steel bladed cheese/dessert knives and twelve steel bladed table knives, contained in a fitted oak cabinet, having two drawers, sample dates London 1966 and 1967, the fish cutlery date sample Sheffield 1967, combined weight 5085 gms excluding the steel bladed knives. Condition Report Each piece is engraved with the initial 'S'. There are some slight surface scratching and nicks consistent with limited use. There are a few scratches to the two carving knife blades. The set is made by C.J Vander Limited. The handles to the knives and carving impliments are hollow. The cabinet: the bottom drawer has a spare compartment possibly to hold associated items such as napkin rings. There is some light corrosion to the lock plates. The three keys are rusty, otherwise one or two surface marks to the outside consistent with age and use.

A single stone diamond ring, the brilliant cut diamond measuring 10.38mm x 10.44mm x 6.15mm approximately, total approximate diamond weight 4.05ct, eight claw set to a white precious metal mount, ring size M1/2, 4.5gms. Condition Report The shank of the ring is marked 18ct & PLAT. There is a black pique mark beneath the table facet towards the edge of the diamond. There is a significant gletz inclusion that runs between two of the claws, this is surface reaching, there is another gletz inclusion on the opposing side of this. An accompanying valuation dated 16th September 2004 states colour: K/L clarity: SI 1/SI2. The ring shows slight signs of wear but no significant damage.
