An Edward VIII canteen of silver ‘plain pine’ pattern cutlery in a fitted two-drawer mahogany box with a lift up cover to include:- twelve soup spoons, eleven tablespoons, twelve table forks, twelve dessert spoons, twelve dessert forks, one sauce ladle and one soup ladle, by Reid & Sons (of Newcastle-Upon-Tyne) Sheffield 1936, also fitted with a set of twelve stainless steel table knives, twelve side knives, two stainless steel carving knives and two carving forks with ivory handles, all initialled with “B” (the box also initialled “B” on the box cover), the box measuring 46cm wide 119.85oz weighable silver.
