Religion. John Williams, Bishop of Lincoln, 'The Holy Table, name and thing, more anciently, properly, and literally used under the new testament, than that of an alter.' Printed for the diocese of Lincoln, 1637. Quarter calf with marbled boards, boards detached. Believed first or early edition. CONDITION REPORT: Boards are detached but spine is intact. Leaves have discolouring and damp spotting generally throughout. Some restoration evident, requiring re-backing.

Approximate weight 4.00 carats, with original purchase receipt from Pellegrin Jewellers, Marseille, France, also a copy of a recent 'Valuation for Trade' indicating a colour grade I, clarity grade VS1 to VS2 and a very good cut, set in platinum, ring size L, also noting 'a very attractive diamond, cut circa 1950, with large table and spread, colour slightly down but faces up very well', Trade Value £30,500.

Burmese carved hardwood circular centre table, the tip top with a border of scrolling foliage, pavilions and dragons on an ornate central column and platform base, diameter 120cm. Condition report: hinge bolts missing; some loss of carving from edges and repaired breaks on the top's downturned lip, none of which is particularly noticeable; height 76.5cm; colour and finish appear to be original.
