Tiefe: 48 cm.Ausführung des Möbels 1930/31.Eines von drei in Mahagoni ausgeführten Exemplaren, ein viertes in Walnuss mit Ledertableau ist ebenfalls kürzlich bekannt geworden. Le Bourgeois betätigte sich fast ausschließlich als Tierkünstler und fertigte gerne Monumentalskulpturen an. Er war von Kindesbeinen an mit den nötigen Werkzeugen durch seinen Aufenthalt in der Restaurierungswerkstatt seines Vaters bekannt und teilte seine Vorliebe für die Skulptur des Mittelalters. Die stilisierten geometrischen Linien der Tiere, wie hier bei dem Elefanten zu sehen, lassen ihn als Art déco-Künstler erscheinen. Er fertigte nicht nur Tiere in Holz als Skulpturen, sondern auch Flachreliefs, die in Möbel eingefügt werden konnten. Ebenso fertigte er architektonische Elemente, wie Kapitelle und Treppenpfosten. Der vorliegende Elefantentisch steht auf einem gestuften Podest.Provenienz:Sammlung Monsieur Vieillard. Anmerkung: Das Centre Pompidou bewahrt ein weiteres Modell eines Elefanten des Künstlers auf mit der Inventarnummer LUX0.61.S. Das 1921 im Pavillon de Marsan ausgestellte Exemplar wurde von M. Sehliwger in Grasse gekauft. Das zweite Exemplar wurde von M. Ducham, einem Kunstsammler, bestellt und das dritte Exemplar wurde am 20. Juli 2010, in Kopie.In einem dunklen Inneraum auf einer alten Holzplatte, die nahe der rechten Seiten mit einem faltenreichen Samttuch bedeckt ist, die sorgsam arrangierten Objekte: Im Zentrum eine angeschnittene Zitrone, deren leuchtend gelbe Schale teils über die Tischkante hinweg hängt, dahinterliegend eine weitere Zitrone, rechts zwei dunkelrote Pflaumen, dahinter ein großer Kürbis und links von ihm Rispen mit hellen und dunklen Weintrauben. An der vorderen rechten Tischecke liegend zudem ein erlegter Vogel mit braunem schwarzgetupftem Gefieder und hellem Brustbereich. In a musical cutaway scene, the Knights of the Round Table wore their helmets as they danced and sang in Camelot.The fiberglass helmet is painted gray and features a T-shaped opening for the eyes and mouth and ear holes in both sides. The inside of the helmet is lined with foam for added comfort. SERIES, 1987 - 1994) - Light-Up QMx Replica Studio-Scale USS Enterprise NCC-1701-D Promotional Model - A light-up QMx replica studio-scale promotional model of the USS Enterprise NCC-1701-D from Gene Roddenberry's sci-fi series Star Trek: The Next Generation. Captain Jean-Luc Picard (Sir Patrick Stewart) and his crew explored the final frontier aboard this 24th century Enterprise. This lot consists of the Quantum Mechanix (QMx) convention display and sales page photography model constructed in clear gel coated fiberglass mounted to a steel endoskeletal frame. Its surface features an enamel painted ivory, gray, and mid-blue gray Aztec-pattern atop a blue-gray base coat, with additional enamel painted yellow umber and dark gray detailing. Over 100 LED lights emulate functioning engines, formation signals, a deflector dish, and windows. The model is backed by sound features for phaser and torpedo sounds, all controlled via a keyless fob attached to a translucent neon green acrylic isolinear chip. Its underside features a separate power connection and features two acrylic supports with multiple rods and layered combadge insignia placed on a black acrylic inlay in the shape of the Engineering "pool table" console atop a gray painted MDF base. The display features two dark pewter-color painted resin-cast Starfleet badges, an aluminum plaque featuring "QMx FX Cinema Arts" with its "0 of 50" edition number, and an unsigned aluminum signature plate. A wood shipping crate with black painted "NCC-1701-D" on the side, and custom-cut egg-crate foam layers, is included for conveyance.
