A George III silver Old English pattern sauce ladle, maker Peter, Anne and William Bateman, London, 1804: together with three assorted table spoons and a dessert spoon, makers various members of the Bateman family, various dates, three being initialled, total weight of silver 7.27ozs.
RUSSIAN SILVER KOVSH (FABERGE). A late 19th century Russian silver & jeweled kovsh, by the Faberge Workmaster Anders Nevalainen, of traditional form, the pierced handle set with a table cut emerald & a cabochon moonstone. The base set with a 1757 Empress Elizabeth coin. Stamped A.N. maker's mark, double headed eagle mark & traces of a scratched inventory number. Length 10.5cm. Provenance: purchased in these rooms on the 19th March 2013. Purchased by the previous vendor from Elliott-Stevens Ltd., New York & sold with their illustrated certificate. A similar silver kovsh was sold by Christies in their Russian Art Sale, 13th April 2011, New York.
