An early 20th Century mahogany extending dining table and six dining chairs The extending dining table with rounded corners raised on cabriole legs with pad feet and castors along with a matching but non conforming set of lath back dining chairs raised on front legs of tapering square section, table extends from 126cm to 180cm.

Chermside, contemporary half calf, old paper label, a little worn, [cf.Atabey 873], 1774; Voyage en Arabie..., 2 vol., first edition in French, half-titles, engraved vignette titles, large folding map of the Yemen hand-coloured in outline, and 122 engraved plates only (of 124, lacking plate 56 in vol.1 and 9 in vol.2), many folding, vol.1 also lacking 2G2 & 3, a few plates stained in vol.1, many loose, contemporary half calf, uncut, worn, covers loose or becoming so, 1776-80, together 3 vol., 4to, Amsterdam, S.J. Baalde, & Utrecht, J. van Schoonhoven⁂ The first is an account of the Danish expedition to Arabia in 1761-63 on which all but Niebuhr died; the second describes his return journey overland through Persia and Turkey.
