A fine early 20th century 15ct and platinum blue sapphire and diamond bar brooch. The cushion cut sapphire measuring 4.5ct approximately and in a collet millegrain setting, the three section bar set with 10 small graduated diamonds, stamped 15ct, width 7.5cm, 7.59g.We believe the sapphire to be natural, this stone hasn't been tested in a laboratory for heat treatment. There is two areas of inclusions within the stone. The larger area is just visible to the naked eye and is in the 8 or 2 position on a clock, depending on where you are wearing the brooch. The small inclusion isn't visible and shows as a line deeper in the stone. Some wear to the cut edges of the stone and a slight scratch on the table. More images added to our website.
An 18ct gold and platinum diamond set three stone ring. The central diamond measuring 0.30ct approximately, flanked by two 0.20ct diamonds, stamped 18ct PLAT, size K, 3.15g.The central diamond has a line inclusion and carbon spot runnning through the centre of the stone. This appears to be natural and not a crack and a line cannot be seen on the table of the stone. The flanking diamonds have cloudy inclusions. Extra image uploaded.
