The residue of a 19th century silver plated cutlery service by Henry Millington Harwood & Son comprising large basting spoon, two small ladles, two dessert spoons, four teaspoons, five table spoons, four dessert forks and six table forks together with a smaller quantity of Victorian silver cutlery in a similar pattern by Chawner & Co., London 1852 comprising one table spoon, three dessert spoons and six large table forks (total weight 902 grams).
An early 17th century and later joined oak withdrawing table, the rectangular panelled top above an inlaid parquetry chevron frieze to a lunette moulding on Ionic capitals and lobed and leaf carved baluster legs united by peripheral stretchers, 89cm high, 173.7cm wide, 89.5cm deep. A similar table is illustrated in `Oak Furniture-The British Tradition` by Victor Chinnery, p.288, figure 3:160. Provenance: The Old Rectory, Little Langford, Wiltshire. Sold by order of Trustees of the Estate of the late Miss S.F. Rooke.
A William IV mahogany Pembroke table in the manner of Gillows, with a frieze drawer and a faux front to the reverse on ribbed tapering legs and brass caps and castors, 72.2cm high, 49cm wide (closed), 85cm deep. Provenance: The Old Rectory, Little Langford, Wiltshire. Sold by order of Trustees of the Estate of the late Miss S.F. Rooke.
A George III mahogany dressing table mirror, inlaid barber`s pole stringing , the oval plate to a serpentine base, fitted with three drawers, 59cm high, 43.7cm wide, 19.7cm deep. Provenance: The Property of Mrs Denzil Ffennell, formerly of Martyr Worthy Place, Martyr Worthy, Nr. Winchester, Hampshire.
A George III mahogany tea table, inlaid stringing and crossbanded, the fold-over top on twin gate supports, the frieze with a diamond lozenge band with floral paterae headed square tapering legs, the underside with a paper label inscribed `L`, 73.1cm high, 91cm wide, 45cm deep. Provenance: The Legh Family, Norbury Booths, Knutsford, Cheshire.
A late 19th century Italian carved and stained wood tripod basin by Vincenzo Cadorin, the shell bowl with a circular aperture and plaster interior, supported by two mermaids and a merman, united by a triform stretcher shelf on scroll legs to leaf and talon feet, signed `V. CADORIN : VENEZIA`, 36½in (92.6cm) high, 28½in (72.5cm) wide, 26in (66cm) deep. Vincenzo Cadorin (1854 - 1925) sculptor and eboniste, was trained in the studio of Augusto Benvenuti and then studied at the Venetian Academy. He worked near Dresden in 1886 as cabinet maker for the Queen of Saxony. See Christopher Payne, 19th Century European Furniture, p.434, pl.1284 for an almost identical table.
A Louis XV style kingwood and marquetry table ambulante, with bronze mounts, the crossbanded top inlaid a basket of flowers, the frieze inlaid with scrolls, flowers and leaves, with an adapted end frieze drawer and a pull-out slide inlaid a chequer board on cabriole legs to scroll sabot, 19th century, 68.4cm high, 62cm wide, 40.5cm deep.
