An Edwardian style ruby and diamond cluster ring, the oval cut ruby within surround of eight round cut diamonds, set within white metal coronet style mount leading to yellow metal shank, stamped '18ct' ring size N, total ruby weight estimated 1.30ct, total diamond weight estimated 1.80ct Condition report:  Two claws to ruby appear low, will require attention. Claws to diamonds are low in some places, will require attention. Under bezel with visible join underneath the shoulder. Minor pitting seen to under bezel with x10 loupe. No visible signs of thinning, repair or resizing to shank. Signs of wear to exterior of shank commensurate with being worn. All diamonds appear bright and lively when viewed with the naked eye. Diamonds with inclusions throughout when viewed under x10 loupe. Ruby with rubbed facets to table and nibbles. Ruby shows inclusions under x10 loupe. When viewed with naked eye, ruby is a bright, lively pinkish red.

There is a minor gap between milgrain setting edge and point of pear cut diamond. (seen with loupe)Milgrain setting edge is worn. Inclusion seen at 5 o'clock, doesn't appear to be surface reaching. Emerald shows rubbing, minor nibbles and nick to table facets. Minor inclusions seen to emerald. Emerald is bright and lively.Repair seen to tip of setting edge of emerald pear cut. One rose cut diamond is missing to centre of head. Setting edge is low in some areas commensurate with age and wear. Ring would benefit from a clean. Areas of repair to under bezel. Shank shows evidence of possibly being later, examples include visible joins to shoulders.Diamond measurements: 8.4mm L x 6.7mm W x 3.2mm DEmerald measurements: 8.3mm L x 6.5mm W x 3.7mm D

However table feels firm with little or no play in the joints.Mahogany table has general minor stains/marks to the top, evidence of glue to the underside block, two splice repairs to one of the supports, with a metal brace to the underside, similarly the table also has little or no play in the joints.
