Fred Foster (died 1968)/A Cotswold School circular walnut two-tier table, inlaid holly stringing and with chamfered tapering legs, inscribed under the top Designed & Made by Fred F Foster 1961, 60cm diameter, 49cm high/Note: Fred Francis Foster was a founder member of the Gloucestershire Guild of Craftsmen. He lived in Whiteway Colony near Stroud and worked with Peter Waals, Sidney Barnsley and other Cotswold School craftsmen Condition Report: Stains and scratches throughout acceptable with age and use, banded decoration good throughout, slight scratching to legs, sound at joints, inscription on base very good.
