A yellow sapphire and diamond cluster ring, the oval mixed-cut yellow sapphire claw set within a border of round brilliant-cut diamonds, between similarly cut diamond set shoulders, white precious metal mounted, with lozenge-shaped marks, indistinctly stamped '18k', total diamond weight approximately 0.55ct, ring size Q½Condition report: Sapphire of orangey-yellow hue, containing small inclusions beneath the table facet that are visible under magnification, and nicks/small chips to facet edges. Diamonds have a fairly bright and lively appearance but some stones contain dark mineral inclusions, surface-reaching fractures and small nicks/chips to the surface. Estimated SI2 to P2 clarity and I to L colour, assessed mounted. The ring mount is modern, with general surface wear throughout, and the shank has been re-sized. One of the central claws has broken away and this will require re-tipping. Gross weight approx. 6.3gm.

Lot 190

A synthetic emerald and diamond three stone ring, the circular mixed-cut synthetic emerald in rubover setting, between two similarly set old-cut diamonds, yellow precious metal mounted, total diamond weight approximately 0.50ct, ring size QCondition report: Diamonds are well matched, bright and lively, but both stones are drawing a light yellowish tint and both have localised facet edge abrasion to the crown facets. One diamond also has a small central chip, positioned just outside the table facet. Estimated SI2 to P2 clarity (due to chip) and K to M colour, assessed mounted. The edges of the diamond settings are very heavily worn, with splits and losses to the metal. The synthetic emerald is heavily scuffed to the surface and may be a later replaced stone. There is a small split to one side of the setting and the ring mount has scuffs, scratches and nicks throughout, commensurate for use. The back of the shank has been re-sized with a later added section and has associated solder joins with porosity. Metal standard is unmarked and untested. Gross weight approx. 5.5gm.

Lot 202

An emerald and diamond dress ring, the oval mixed-cut emerald claw set between stepped shoulders of baguette-cut diamonds, 18ct white gold mounted, signed Iliana, total diamond weight approximately 0.25ct, ring size O½Condition report: The emerald is untested for origin and treatments and has a light to mid bluish-green hue, with chips and fractures to the surface and a larger chip to one edge of the central table facet. The emerald contains fracture, fissure and mineral inclusions, some of which are surface-reaching, located mostly to one side of the stone. The emerald measures approx. 8mm length x 6mm width x 4.5mm depth. Diamonds are well matched and fairly bright. The mount has scuffs, scratches, nicks and chips throughout and will require re-polishing. Gross weight approx. 4.4gm.

Lot 29

A pink sapphire and diamond dress ring, the oval mixed-cut pink sapphire in foiled closed-back setting, to an earlier scroll decorated mount with table-cut diamond set shoulders, ring size approximately P - QCondition report: The ring mount is possibly Georgian in date, with later repairs to the setting, shoulders and shank, and the pink sapphire appears to be later replaced. The pink sapphire has light surface wear and nicks, probably with a coloured foil backing, and measures approx. 8mm width x 5mm length. Diamonds have a dull yellowish-greyish apeparance, with discolouration of the foil backing, and both are chipped. The ring mount is heavily worn and one of the scrolled shoulders has discoloured, due to repair. The back of the shank has been re-sized with a later added panel. Gross weight approx. 2.6gm.
