A Gordon Russell Oak 'Weston' Dining Room Suite, comprising: a set of four standard dining chairs and two carvers, a rectangular dining table, on fluted block legs, approx 137.5 x 83 x 75 cms together with a rectangular sideboard approx 121 x 47 x 92 cms, fitted with two drawers over a pair of panel doors, turned knob handles, copper label 'Gordon Russell Ltd', Broadway, Worcestershire to tables and chairs. This furniture belonged to Maisie Palmer who worked for a number of years at the Gordon Russell factory with both her sisters during and after WWII, they worked together on the bench making furniture for the war effort. The furniture has remained with Mrs Palmer until her passing earlier this year. The design can be seen on Pg 69 Jeremy Mysersons Gordon Russell: Designer of Furniture.

A Quality Japanese White Metal (Tests Silver) and Enamel Oblong Dressing Table Tray with Gently Raised Sides. The interior beautifully enamelled in green, white and yellow with flowering honeysuckle. The reverse enamelled in black. Japanese paper label. Attributed to the Ando Cloisonne Co. of Tokyo. 9 inches by 3 inches. Weight 6 ozs.
