German Half Aircraft Propeller, a German produced 113cms half propeller made into a hall stand, the propeller cut in half at the central boss, tip cut off to provide a table with its original German manufacturers decal of ‘XIAL Berlin’. Some abrasions to the decal, beautiful contrasting wooden strips in the construction of the propeller itself. Superb decorative piece. Probably produced for a Royal Flying Corps officers mess.

Mynde, waterstained throughout, contemporary ownership signature of Amb: Kedington, dated 1729 to front endpaper, contemporary vellum, stained and discoloured with some marks and wear, oblong folio Apparently the earlier of the two editions in ESTC, both undated (the other 'printed for John Bowles'). The engraved geographical tables reveal, amongst other things, that London contains 210,000 fighting men, Ithaca is not one tenth part so big as the Isle of Wight, Croatians are fierce and ungovernable but are indulged in their liberty as they are a good barrier against the Turks, the land of the Amazons covers 993,600 square miles, the Persian empire under Darius covered over a twentieth of the habitable area of the globe, and Brindisi is a contemptible place.
