A reproduction Georgian dining suite, comprising a cross-banded mahogany single pedestal dining table of rent table form, extending from the circular by means of two leaves, 110 cm extending to 212 cm, together with six Reprodux string-inlaid and cross-banded mahogany tablet and lattice back dining chairs
Johanna Van Deventer, 1869-1959, still life of flowers in a vase, signed oil on canvas, 44 x 55cmOverall condition is complete, but dirty. There is a repaired hole just to the left of the vase on the table, which has been patched. Dirty, with crazing within the painted surface. Various light marks to the surface. Signed lower right. Frame is complete, with a few light marks and losses. What appears like a mark to the vase, is in fact a painted reflection. Was collected from a local house move in Suffolk.
An 18th century burr elm occasional table, with a hinged circular top, on an elm tripod base, 76cm diameterSolid and usable, but scruffy. The top is well figured timber, which is made in four sections, but is heavily marked and has been varnished over. Supports under the top have been adapted with old holes visible. Base of column has a visible repair to the side. The legs are heavily worn away, paint covered and dirty, with old spliced repairs. Unrestored. Collected from an estate in Essex.
A set of six 19th century elm dining chairs, together with a modern light oak extending dining table, with one additional leave (7)183w x 91d x 73h cm overallThe chairs are all solid and usable. Overall they look rustic, with some repairs to leg tips and seat corners, signs of old woodworm and repairs to joints, but appear to have been restored in recent years. The wood has a dry finish and some areas have been filled. The table is modern and in used but clean general condition. These were collected from a house move in Suffolk, where they were being used.
A mid 20th century silver mounted dressing table set, with hand mirror, brushes and comb, inscribed C, Birmingham 1947, in a fitted caseOverall condition is complete. All the hallmarks match, although they are slighjtly rubbed. The comb is slightly worn and out of shape. All have momogram C. Box is slightly dirty, with wear to corners.
