A pair of George III old English pattern desert spoons, by Richard Crossley, London 1793; another similar pair and a table spoon by the same maker, 1797; a Georgian Exeter silver table fork; and a William IV silver dessert fork; all crested apart from the Exeter fork; 301 g (9.67 troy ozs) gross
(possibly) by Roberts, Cadman & Co., each with plain and polished circular bases, the knop, shoulder and detachable nozzle decorated with embossed foliate designs, stamped to the inner of the sconce 'Silver Edges', loaded and with chocolate brown baize table protectors, height 32cm (4)Condition report: Wear to the extremities of all four sticks, with copper easily seen coming through. The loading appears in good order, though the bases are rather uneven and a bit 'crunchy'. Shafts to the nozzles are rather misshapen though all fit well and snugly to the sticks. Some denting to the base edges and minor dents and dings to the bases themselves. Some denting to the edges of two of the sconces. One stick (with copper exposure the length of the column) leans. All four stand quite well on a flat surface with little wobble.

by James Kirkby, Waterhouse & Co (James Kirkby & Joseph Waterhouse), Sheffield 1814, the bases lavishly decorated with repoussé scrolls and foliage, the shoulders and crested scones similarly decorated, as are the part marked and detachable nozzles, 12cm high, loaded (2)Condition report: Generally in reasonable condition for their age: 1 - a slight wobble when on a flat surface, leans slightly, loading in good order, missing a table protector to the base. Slight crease to the edge of the sconce. 2 - loading breaking up and rattling a bit, leans slightly, baseplate proud of the candlestick edge but (probably the original) table protector in place though very worn. Sconce a little out of shape. Hallmarks a bit worn but still easily readable. A little less worn on the nozzles. Crest is easily readable and may be that of Alexander.
