Several of the moonstones have surface reaching inclusions and one has a significant chip to the table. The links have incurred wear and are out of shape and have dents.

An 18ct gold and platinum mounted three stone ruby and diamond ring, the central oval ruby flanked by brilliant cut diamonds. Estimated total diamond weight 0.30cts. Condition: Overall condition fair-good. The ruby has a pinkish red hue with a fairly even saturation of colour. It does have typical inclusions-one is surface reaching and spreads across the table and kite facets of the stone. The diamonds are bright and well matched. the hoop has worn thin in keeping with wear next to another ring.

Weight 10gms. AF. Condition: Condition of two rings-fair. Hoops on both are split, the diamonds on the three stone all have chips to the table. The single stone ring is in good condition, minor surface scratches to the gold hoop in keeping with the age of the ring.

Accompanied by a copy of a report from The Precious Stone Laboratory London stating that the diamond is 4.14cts, colour O-P range: Tinted , clarity VS1. Report number 963910, dated 9th June 1999. Estimated total diamond weight 1.15cts, colour G-I, clarity SI1-P1. Length 1.5cms. Stamped 18ct. Condition: The ring is in overall new condition. There is a black inclusion seen through the table of the central marquise shape diamond and also scattered black inclusions to the outer round brilliant diamonds. There are very minor scratches to the ring shank. Ring size N1/2.

Lot 328

Platinum single stone diamond ring, the pear cut diamond in a three claw setting. Estimated total diamond weight 0.75cts, colour G, clarity P1. Condition: Overall condition good, with noticeable surface scratches to the platinum with a couple of slightly deeper scratches to one edge, it would benefit from a re-polish. The ring shank is hallmarked platinum. There is a black inclusion to the central table of the diamond that is visible to the unaided eye, there is also a black inclusion to the edge of the stone. Ring size G.

Lot 380

An early 20th century bug brooch, the main wishbone panel with a later added sapphire and diamond set bug. Length of brooch 3.5cms. Weight 5.05gms. Condition: The brooch is in overall good condition. There are slight scratches to the wishbone, we believe the bug to have been added at a later date. The sapphire is of medium blue with an even saturation of colour running throughout the stone. The diamonds are nice and bright, there is a black inclusion to the table face of the diamond visible with 10x magnification. The pin and catch is secure.

A platinum diamond band ring, set with eight inlaid brilliant cut diamonds. Estimated total diamond weight 2.65cts, colour I-K, clarity SI1-P2. Weight 12.88gms. Condition: Overall condition fair-good. One diamond has a chip to the table and kite facet, the stones overall are well matched. The hoop has incurred minor surface wear in the form of scratches and could benefit from a re-polish. Ring size T.

Lot 398

An 18ct gold emerald and diamond cluster ring, the oval emerald within a brilliant cut diamond surround set to baguette cut diamond shoulders. Estimated total diamond weight 0.32cts. Weight 3.4gms. AF. Condition: Overall condition fair, there is a large fairly shallow chip to the emerald to a kite facet and into the table very slightly, it is approximately 2mm in diameter. There are nibbles to the girdle of the emerald and internal inclusions and fractures that significantly affect the transmission of light through the stone. The diamonds are quite well matched and are quite bright and lively.

Lot 431

A diamond single stone ring, the princess cut diamond within a four claw setting. Accompanied by E.G.L. report stating weight 2.04cts, clarity SI2, colour Brown P (ECG). Report number 61003026/39808. Stamped 18ct. Weight 7.8gms. Condition: Overall good condition, there is noticeable wear to the ring shank particularly at the back, I believe most of these could be polished out and the thickness of the shank will allow for this. There is a lozenge shape inclusion visible under 10x magnification to the edge of the central table facet which stretches to the edge of the stone, the rest of the stone is fairly clean. Ring size N.

Lot 450

An 18ct gold single stone diamond ring, the brilliant cut diamond is in a six claw setting. Estimated total diamond weight 1.19cts, colour I-J clarity VS1-VS2. Condition: Overall condition good. The diamond is not cut to absolute ideal proportions and has a slightly large table facet. The hoop has incurred virtually no wear.

Two early 20th century 18ct gold ruby and diamond set rings, to include a rectangular shaped cluster ring, the central row of rubies set to each side by single cut diamonds, also a five stone ring, the rubies interspaced by diamond point detail within a scroll design setting. Hallmarks for Birmingham 1908 & 1925. Weight 4.5gms. Condition: Overall condition of the rings is good, with wear and surface scratches commensurate to the age of the rings, hallmarks to both are clear and legible. Both would benefit from a clean. The rubies in the rectangular shaped cluster ring are slightly unevenly set and have very minor abrasions to some of the facet edges. The diamonds seem quite well matched and would brighten with a clean. Ring size K 1/2. The rubies in the five stone ring show minor abrasion to the table facet edges. Some of the settings may need attention. Ring size K 1/2.

Lot 457

Two Edwardian 18ct gold diamond set rings, to include a five stone ring, each graduated old European cut diamond within a claw setting and a three stone ring, the central old European cut diamond flanked by a ruby. Hallmarks for Chester 1902 & 1907. Weight 7gms. Condition: Overall condition is good with wear commensurate to the age of the pieces, hallmarks are clear and legible to both. The five stone diamond ring has two diamonds with large chips to them and one has a small chip to the table facet. There are white inclusions and internal fractures to the diamonds, some of the settings may need attention. Ring size K. The diamond and ruby ring has noticeable surface scratches, the diamond is bright and lively, there is minor abrasion to the rubies. Ring size O 1/2.

An emerald and diamond cluster ring, the central oval emerald is in a ten claw setting surrounded by ten old European cut diamonds and further diamonds to each shoulder. Estimated total diamond weight 1.00ct, colour H-J, clarity SI2-P2. Emerald weight 1.05cts. Condition: Overall condition fair-good. The emerald displays typical inclusions running through the stone, on one side of the table these are surface reaching. The diamonds are bright, lively and well matched. The hoop has incurred minimal wear.

Condition: The ring is in overall good condition. There are slight scratches to the ring, very minor wear. There are some central white inclusions visible through the table facet of the central diamond, only visible with 10x magnification. The claws are secure and the outer diamonds are nice and bright. Ring size N.

A tanzanite and diamond ring, the central cushion shape tanzanite collet set with pave brilliant cut diamond shoulders. Estimated total diamond weight 0.88cts. Dimensions of tanzanite 11 x 9 x 6.75mm, calculated weight 5.00cts. Ring stamped 750. Weight 12.48gms. Condition: Overall good condition, with easily visible wear and surface scratches to the metal and some minor indentations to the setting. The diamonds are set evenly, some of the settings may need attention. The tanzanite shows abrasions to the facet edges particularly to the table. With a fairly even colour distribution. Ring size L 1/2.

Lot 568

A two stone diamond ring, each old European cut diamond is in an eight claw setting. Estimated total diamond weight 1.45cts, colour J-K, clarity P1-3. Stamped 18ct plat. Condition: Overall condition fair. The inclusions in both diamonds affect the transmission of light passing through the stones. One diamond has a white inclusion directly under the table facet and the other has fairly profuse inclusions running through the stone. The hoop is in good condition with virtually no surface wear.

Two early 20th century 18ct gold five stone rings, to include a sapphire and diamond ring, each graduated sapphire interspaced by diamond detail and a similar ruby and diamond ring. Hallmarks for Birmingham 1919 & Chester 1915. Weight 5gms. Condition: Overall fair to good condition, with wear commensurate to the age of the pieces. They would benefit from a clean. The hallmarks to both are rubbed but legible. The rubies in the ruby and diamond ring show some abrasion to facet edges and faces. The diamonds to the edge of the stone have some small chips, the centre stone is bright and lively. Ring size Q 1/2. The sapphire and diamond ring has a small patch of scratches to the back of the ring, the sapphires show very minor abrasion to the table facet edges and are a medium to deep blue. Ring size M.

Lot 640

A ruby, emerald and diamond stylised floral cluster brooch, set with single and brilliant cut diamond flowerheads and leaves within two borders of round cut rubies and emeralds. Estimated total diamond weight 2.50cts, colour G-H, clarity SI. Diameter 5.8cms. Weight 41.6gms. Condition: Overall condition good. The diamonds are bright and lively, the rubies have a pinkish red colour displaying typical inclusions, some are surface reaching and a few have chips to the table and girdle. The emeralds are well matched, one has a chip.

Lot 2

An 18ct white gold single stone diamond pendant, the old European cut diamond is in a four claw setting. Estimated diamond weight 2.50cts, colour Tinted, clarity SI2. Condition: The pendant is in overall good condition. There is a small white inclusion under the table facet only visible with magnification, the stone may grade as more of an SI1, the stone is obviously yellow and tinted in colour. The claws are nice and secure.

Lot 3

A ten stone diamond cluster ring, the central claw set old European cut diamond within an old European cut diamond surround. Estimated principal diamond weight 1.17cts, colour I-J, clarity SI2. Estimated total diamond weight of diamond surround 1.80cts, colour H-I, clarity SI2-P1 (One diamond with minor chips to table). Diameter 1.6cms. AF. Condition: The ring is in overall good condition. The central diamond has chips to the girdle, one spreads onto the kite facet. Overall the diamonds are well matched . There are slight scratches to the hoop in keeping with minor wear.

Lot 27

An emerald and diamond cluster ring, the central emerald is in a ten claw setting surrounded by old European cut diamonds. Estimated total diamond weight 1.00ct. Stamped 18ct. Abrasion to central emerald and surface reaching fractures. Condition: Overall condition is fair to good, with minor surface wear to the shank. The ring would benefit from a clean, one of the diamonds has an easily visible black inclusion to the central table, six of the diamonds have noticeable abrasion to the girdles, some of the claws may need attention. The emerald is very abraded and has a central surface reaching fracture and many visible internal fractures which seriously affects the light transmission through the stone and may need assessment for re-polishing. Ring size O 1/2.

Lot 75

A single stone diamond ring, the brilliant cut diamond in a four claw setting flanked by three brilliant cut diamonds. Estimated principal diamond weight 0.80cts, colour I, clarity VSI1-P2. Stamped 750. Condition: Overall condition good, with noticeable surface scratches to the metal, and yellowing at the back, also thinning here ever so slightly. Estimated total diamond weight for shoulder stones 0.42cts. The principal diamond has a surface reaching fracture to the central table facet, and a fracture to the outer edge, these are only visible under magnification. The diamonds are bright and lively. Ring size O.
