A Danish 1970s Lotus 'Flip-flap' rosewood circular extending dining table by Dyrlund four leaves pull-out from underneath, then 'Flip-flap' open into eight divided sections, converting from a four to eight seater, these sections held by solid brass hinges and lock-in to the adjacent extensions around table, raised on four square tapered legs, 47.25in. (120cm.) diameter, when extended 69in. (175cm.) diameter, 29in. (74cm.) high.* Condition: Good condition overall. The top has slight fading around the edges and there is an grease mark to the wood towards the edge There are two small indented scratches to the top and a few light scuffs. The mechanism is working well and the flaps all fold and fit smoothly. The legs and underside in good condition.
An Edwardian circular mahogany table, Cunard Line RMS Mauretania interest, salvaged from one of the smoking rooms aboard R.M.S.Mauretania when the liner was broken up in 1935, the rotating circular table with woven top (originally had a circular wooden tier to the top), inscribed brass plaque to side of table reads 'R.M.S.
