An mid-19th century Italian ormolu table casket of oval form set with panels of pietra dura the chased body having two oval mounts of butterflies in coloured marbles to front and rear and one at either end, each within a plain frame and beaded border, the mounts separated by vertical twin lines of beads flanking a concave plain fillet and further similar bands above and below, the lower three sets of graduated bands forming the base, the lid similarly decorated and set with a single larger oval inlay of a fantastic bird on a leafy branch, 8in. (20cm.) long, 4¾in. (12cm.) high.

A Russian silver and malachite table bell with reputed Royal provenance the silver plated bell engraved with nine names of warships from the Russian fleet, in Cyrillic text, comprising Petropavlovsk, Borodino, Ekaterina II, Oryol, Suvorov, Varyag, Sinop, Rostislav and Almaz, on a naturalistic malachite base with sprung gilt metal striker and applied engraved gold royal cipher for Tsar Nicholas II and white metal anchor set with old cut diamonds, the bell surmounted by a cast silver double headed eagle holding a crown aloft, the heads with gilt beaks and inset cabochon ruby eyes, the wings and breast adorned with enamelled shields, probably the arms of the ships named on the bell, the crown set with old cut diamonds, rubies and emeralds, apparently unmarked, 8¾in. (22cm.) high * This table bell is reputed to have been given as a gift by Tsar Nicholas II of Russia, when visiting British waters off the Isle of Wight in 1909 on his yacht the Standart, accompanied by an entourage of vessels from the Russian Navy.

A rare late-17th / early 18th century gilt bronze square table clock probably German, the square hinged case with serpentine top and base, the silvered chapter ring engraved with Roman hour numerals alternated with fleur-de-lys and outer Arabic minutes, the centre and corners with engraved and repoussé shell and foliate decoration, pierced scroll steel hands, one probably replaced, the glazed sides within silvered foliate engraved and paper scrolled borders, enclosing a single fusee movement with baluster pillars, silvered pierced and engraved backcock, silvered regulator disc, striking a bell to the base, raised on shell scroll feet, height 2¾in. (7cm.), 3¼in. (8.25cm.) square.

A fine Victorian satinwood and parquetry jardinière table by Donald Ross for Edwards & Roberts c.1870, inlaid throughout with trellis and dot marquetry, the incurved top with pierced brass gallery enclosing the tin liner, the body with serpentine frieze and cabriole legs with gilt brass female head and foliage mounts to the knees and further decoration leading down to the foliate terminals, 28in. (71cm.) x 17¾in. (45cm.), 32in. (81.5cm.) high * The underside bears the original paper Trade Label of Edwards and Roberts of Wardour Street, London for whom Donald Ross made furniture, often in the Louis XVI style and in particular with the trellis and dot pattern which became his `signature`
