A PAIR OF CHINESE FAMILLE VERTE AND POWDER BLUE-GROUND 'FIGURAL' VASES 19TH CENTURY Each decorated with two panels depicting figures in a garden, amidst pine trees and craggy rocks, on a gilt decorated blue-ground, interspersed with floral sprays, butterflies and precious objects, and a simulated brocade sash to the neck, each mounted as a table lamp, 43cm, (74cm overall). (2) Provenance: from a private Cornish country estate.
A CHINESE HARDWOOD TABLE CLOCK LATE QING DYNASTY The white enamel dial with Roman numerals, surrounded by a gilt metal frame decorated with shou characters, bats and scrolling foliate designs, contained within a rectangular case, with fret-carved side panels incised with further shou characters and two rectangular windows. A carved backplate and sliding panels to the front and reverse, accompanied with a winding key, 50.4cm including stand. (4) Provenance: property from a deceased estate, Cheshire. Cf. Christie's, London, 13th November 2015, lot 1174 for a Chinese hardwood striking table clock of similar design. PLEASE NOTE THIS LOT IS TO BE OFFERED WITHOUT RESERVE.
