A Chinese huanghuali and hongmu low stand, 19th century, the rectangular framed panel top above a pierced frieze with archaistic scrolls above blind key fret, on four moulded square legs, 76cm wide, 39cm deep, 42cm high, repairs and possible alterations***CONDITION REPORT***There is an inserted strip of new timber to the panel of the top. The legs are a little loose at the joints and the moulding which curves around from the apron to the leg doesn’t lineup indicating that the table may have been reduced in size. A nest of early Victorian Gillows specimen hardwood top quartetto tables with varying veneers to the tops including a chessboard, on turned underframe with slender turned stretchers, largest 59 x 41cm, 74cm high***CONDITION REPORT***Overall look to be in fair to good condition, good rich state of polish, the main top table has splits running from left to right and other scuff marks, looks to be veneered in an amboyna type burr wood, the second table down has a rosewood veneer with a burr wood surround, the third a pollard oak veneer with burr wood surround and the smallest table the chessboard veneer which does have some splitting and separation of the timbers, under frames essentially in good order.PLEASE NOTE:- Prospective buyers are strongly advised to examine personally any goods in which they are interested BEFORE the auction takes place.
