A late Victorian rosewood travelling dressing table set, comprising two glass bottles with glass stoppers, two pairs of faceted glass bottles with electroplate covers, a glass box with pierced electroplate cover, all to a fitted red velour and leather interior with lift-out tray and concealed letter flap, the rosewood box with mother-of-pearl cartouche and key escutcheon, and with a concealed integral pull-out drawer to one side, 30cm wide x 22.5cm deep x 16.5cm high (lacking key).Lacking key. Box exterior fair with some old scratches, a little general wear and signs of age and use. Some nibbles to the edges of the drawer which is not sprung and so difficult to pull out. Interior is a little tired with wear and staining to velour elements, missing cover to central well, wear to electroplating, one glass bottle rim damaged, scratches around lock plates, missing drawer retainer rod.
