World War I military euphonium lamp - manufactured by Hawkes & Son, of Denman Street, Piccadilly Circus, London shortly before or during the first years of World War One (its serial number 34662 denotes it to be circa 1913-15) this magnificent euphonium, by repute, saw service in a military band at that time and for a good number of years after. Its conversion to a table lamp has not damaged it in the slightest as no extraneous holes have been drilled. Parts unscrewed in order to allow the passage of the flex have been kept and could, if desired be re-instated. A truly historic piece that is both functional and decorative....

Georgian Mahogany Supper Table with dished tilt top made from a single piece of timber. Standing on a centre column and tripod base with pad feet, the whole having attractive detail. With the exception of an ancient, perhaps even added when the table was almost new, metal butterfly bridge to a shake in the very large section of Cuban mahogany. It is total original down to its brass snap catch - which operates smoothly and locks the table firmly and has a very pleasing patina
