A Regency mahogany twin drop flap small Pembroke table, fitted with two frieze drawers and opposing dummy drawers with brass drop handles with lion mask backplates and raised on tapered turned legs terminating in castors. Length 45 cm (see illustration). CONDITION REPORT: The handles are replacements but fully cover the old holes. The table top is flat and in good order as are both of the flaps. There is no warping and the flaps hang straight. The drawer fronts and linings are in good order. The dummy drawers have the same handles as the actual drawers. All four legs are in good condition with no damage, no repairs and no restoration. The castors are original. The table could be used in its current state without the need for any restoration.
A shagreen and piano key ivory two tier occasional table, circa 1930. Width 61 cm. CONDITION REPORT: Width 61 cm, depth 48 cm, height 55 cm, depth of bottom tier 37 cm, length of bottom tier 50 cm. The top is flat and in generally good order with no significant scuffs or damage. The ivory around both tiers is all present and correct. The shagreen surface to the base and also the two columns is in good order with no losses. The wooden feet appear to be original but they are a little crude and are nailed onto the base.
A Victorian inlaid walnut oval snap top occasional table, with carved and fluted column and four downswept scroll legs. Width 80 cm (see illustration). CONDITION REPORT: Generally very good condition. The top is of good colour, flat and with good patination. The moulded edge is in good condition. The table is structurally solid. The snap action operates as it should. The centre column is in very good condition as are the four legs. There are no visible repairs, damage or restoration. There is no evidence of any woodworm.
A pair of French porcelain figurines, each of a female figure sat at a table, polychrome. Height 15 cm (see illustration). CONDITION REPORT: The figure of the lady with bird cage has losses to the fine pierced porcelain work on the bonnet. There is also crazing to the glazing on the base. There are also some small loses to the fine pierced porcelain at the bottom of the dress but again these seem minor. We do not think there is any restoration to this figure but as it is so intricate it is very difficult to tell. The second figure seems to be in generally good order. Again there are some minor losses to the pierced porcelain at the bottom of the dress and a small scuff to the front edge of the protruding foot. The blue cup on the table top may possibly have been restored as it is a little soft to touch, if it has been then the restoration is professional.
A Regency mahogany circular breakfast table, with centre column and quatreform base raised on bun feet. Diameter 128 cm. CONDITION REPORT: Whilst the table is structurally solid there are numerous defects. The top is flat and there are no open joins. There are however numerous scratches, scuffs and marks. There are also three areas that have been damp enough to slightly lift the veneer. There are two areas that have shaped patches. The crossbanded edge has various sections of veneer missing and there are numerous nibbles all around the edge where the table has been rolled. The frieze is in better condition but does have some edge veneer losses. The table is sturdy and the centre column is in generally good order as is the tulip carving. The top of the quatreform base is in good condition but there are the usual scuffs and nibbles around the edges particularly above the four original bun feet. As stated the table is very solid and does not wobble when lent upon.
A Queen Anne red walnut demi-lune turnover top tea table, fitted with a drawer and raised on turned legs terminating in pad feet. Width 74 cm. CONDITION REPORT: This table is in need of some restoration. There is a patch to the top left and top right hand rear corners of the top flap. The top flap is constructed of two planks and there is a gap between the two pieces of wood. The underside of the top flap is in reasonable order with no significant issues. The top left hand corner of the bottom flap has a small patch. The hinges are original. The frieze is in generally good condition with minor old surface scratches and blemishes but no significant issues. The lock escutcheon is probably original as is the lock. The rear hinges appear to be original. The interior is in good order. The legs are all in good order although a little scuffed at the extremities. The centre leg is slightly angled. The rear supporting leg is a later replacement.
A Liberty style oak octagonal occasional table, two tier, raised on turned legs with pad feet. Width 47 cm. CONDITION REPORT: The table top is in generally good order with no significant marking. The top is flat. One of the six sides to the top has an edge scuff and very small timber losses. The arcaded frieze is in good condition all round as are the legs and shelf. There is no evidence of any repairs or restoration. There is no woodworm. The only minor issue is the scuff to the edge of one side of the top and other small marks that one might expect from something of this age.
A Victorian specimen marble topped table, with bird and branch motif, moulded surround and raised on a turned column with three downswept legs terminating in scroll feet. Diameter 48 cm. CONDITION REPORT: The specimen marble top is in good condition with no cracks or losses. The outer moulded frame is all complete and intact although there are the usual stress fractures to the timber around the curved edge. Whilst some of these cracks are open there is no movement to the frame around the table top. The centre column is in good order. The legs are undamaged and have no repairs. The only minor issue is that one of the three legs has clearly been loose at the joint at some point and been badly re-glued. The leg is not loose but the glue looks a little unsightly and in our opinion this repair should be re done.
A Regency/William IV rosewood breakfast table, good colour, with snap action, turned column, triform base and short bun feet. Diameter 120 cm (see illustration). CONDITION REPORT: This table is in generally good condition. The top is not warped. It is of a good colour with no significant scuffing or scratching. There are no losses to the crossbanded veneer on the edge or on the recessed frieze. The snap action operates as it should. The table is structurally solid and the centre column in good order. The triform base has some very minor scuffs around the sharp points to the corners as one would expect but no significant issues. The bun feet and castors are original. We can see no evidence of any woodworm.
