A Victorian Silver-Mounted Cut-Glass Dressing-Table Service and a Silver-Mounted Flask, by Charles Henry Dumenil, One Bottle and the Flask by Samuel Summers Drew and Ernest Drew, London, 1899, each piece with hammered finish and engraved with initials 'EB', in fitted easel mounted leather stand, one glass bottle lacking, with a leather covered ink bottle and vesta-case, Together With: two mounted copies of newspaper clippings outlining the career of the owner, the flask 15.5cm high , the stand 38.5cm wide Provenance: Owned by Ernest Alfred Bowen. Bowen was a successful Jockey who was born in Worcestershire in 1871 and apprenticed in Newmarket. Bowen saw success at Newmarket and Egmont and so was hired to jockey on the French circuit where he has considerable success during his career. . Each marked on silver mount. There is some wear to the marks but they are generally still legible. There is some overall surface scratching and wear, consistent with age and use as well as some small bruises. There is a silver cover without a glass bottle and a corresponding empty compartment on the leather stand. There are some very minor chips to the glass otherwise and some staining and marks to the leather. The stopper is lacking from the flask which does not have a space in the leather stand.

A Victorian and Later Table-Service, The Table Forks by George Adams, London, 1863 and The Dessert Spoons and Forks H. L. Brown and Son, Sheffield, 1933, Fiddle, Thread and Shell pattern, some pieces engraved with a crest, comprising: 8 table-forks 6 dessert-spoons 6 dessert-forks and the following with composition handles and stainless steel blades: 6 table-knives 6 cheese-knives weight of silver 51oz 4dwt (32) . The forks and spoons each marked on back of handle. The marks are generally clear. There is some surface scratching and wear consistent with age and use. The wear is noticeable as a softening to the engraved crest which appears only on the table-forks. There are some cracks and discolouration to the handles of the knives. The blades of the knives have differing cutlers marks stamped on them.

A French Silver Table-Service, by Maillard Freres and Vazou, Paris, Circa 1900, each piece with a foliage stamped handle, engraved with initials comprising: 6 table-spoons 6 table-forks 6 dessert-spoons 6 dessert-forks A teaspoon and the following with steel blades, some stamped 'M Vaneste Lille': 4 table-knives 4 cheese-knives weighable silver 51oz 18dwt (33) . Each piece marked with Minerva mark and maker's mark. Some of the knife blades stamped 'M Vaneste Lille'. There is some surface scratching and wear, consistent with age and use. The knife blades are heavily corroded. The pieces would benefit from being properly cleaned.
An Early 19th Century Diamond, Baroque Pearl and Enamel Pendant on Chain, the circular band of closed-set cushion shaped table cut diamonds with black and white enamel detail, with a swing drop pearl with a rose cut diamond centrally, reverse with blue and white enamel, on a later yellow chain interspaced with seed pearls, pendant length 2.9cm, chain length 18cm see illustration NB: the pearl has not been lab tested. . The pendant is in poor condition with damage to the enamel both to the front and reverse. The baroque pearl is of a floral design. The chain fastens with a tongue and box catch. The chain has an applied plaque but it is partially missing. Gross weight 8.1 grams. CR made 29.07.20.
