A blackbean wood dining table of rectangular shape with curved ends on angled dual splayed end supports, united by a high curved stretcher, the top 280cm (9ft 2 1/4in) x 90cm (2ft 11 1/2in). * Commissioned from Edward Barnsley (1900-1987) in the early 1960`s by the present vendor for £156 12 shillings. The wood is Australian blackbean. At the maker`s request, it was subsequently displayed at The Design Centre in 1964.
