A PAIR OF FRENCH CARVED GILTWOOD SERPENTINE CONSOLE TABLES IN LOUIS XV STYLE, 19TH CENTURY With variegated marble tops each 86cm high, 92cm wide, 45.5cm deep Condition Report: Both tables with the marks, knocks, scratches and abrasions commensurate with age and use.Old splits, chips and losses. Both marble tops with the with some chips and filler used in places. One marble top has three significant repaired cracks. There are one loses to these areas and the pink adhesive is visible top the joins. The other marble top has a large ring mark to the centre. Both tables structurally solid. The gilt surface with the expected wear, cracks and chips. One table with a crack through one of the stretchers. Please refer to additional images for visual reference to condition. Y A GEORGE III SATINWOOD AND MAHOGANY BANDED DEMI-LUNE CARD TABLELATE 18TH CENTURY75.5cm x 97cm x 48.5cm Condition Report: There are scratches, marks, knocks, cracks and abrasions consistent with age and use. There are losses, observations and restorations including: replaced and repaired veneers and section of stringing, some crossbanding veneers are missing, there is some filler to the cracks, the finish has turned opaque in one area of the table top; there is some evidence of worm; both back legs are hinged to support the folding top so that the legs are equidistant when the table is open; the baize is later with some evidence of moth; later metal bosses to the underside of the feet; some cracks to the underside and some later staining.
