Each fully marked on stem. The dessert-spoons and one table-fork have the 'D' date letter for 1839, the remaining table-forks have the 'E' date letter for 1840. There is some unevenness under the engraved initial where the pieces have perhaps been erased and the later engraving added. There is otherwise some surface scratching and wear, consistent with age and use.
