A late Victorian oblong silver dressing table box by William Comyns, London, 1894, embossed with birds, putti, flowers, scrolls and diaperwork, cover with central vacant cartouche, gilt interior, pinprick ding to centre of cartouche and remains of lacquer on cartouche, 11 cm. long., wt. 152 gm.
Five George III Old English pattern silver table spoons, various makers, all London, 1769, 1786, 1798 and a pair 1801; also two German Fiddle pattern table spoons, one marked "Wille" and "12" probably for a member of the Wille family of silversmiths of Luneberg, early 19th century, one marked "12" and "NIEMEYER" probably for Heinrich Wilhelm Niemeyer of Hamburg, mid-19th century; also a third spoon with pointed end and engraved leafage down stem, maker's mark only struck twice, probably Schleswig Holstein, late 18th/early 19th century, wt. 449 gm. (8). All in reasonable condition.
A 19th century Channel Islands silver Fiddle pattern table spoon by Jacques Quesnel (II), Jersey, circa 1825, maker's mark only "JQ", front of terminal inscribed "LH de G", probably for a member of the De Gruchy family, back of bowl with double drop, 22.2 cm. long, wt. 53 gm. Good condition, good even bowl, very clear mark. No wear to engraving.
