The top is very loose to the base and is missing the top peice to the stem, the central bolt is to long without this peice and either needs a new peice making or the bolt reducing, there are small splits in the venner on the edges, the top has small warps to the planks beneath the venner, see extra images uploaded on line.

In good condition, the joints are loose. There is a small piece of venner let in near the hinged joint. The polish is original and there has a been a spilt stain on the top which has melted the polish. The handles and casters are original. The corner frets are original. AN 18TH CENTURY FRENCH CARVED GILT WOOD HANGING CONSOLE TABLE with serpentine shaped marble top above a mask head leaf moulded bracket raised on a scrolled support52cm wide 28cm deep 49cm highThe marble top is in good condition with no chips cracks or restoration, with some light surface scratches to the top. There are approx 20 old worm holes to the reverse of the scrolled bracket. One of the corner molds is missing the bottom tip on the right side. The gilding is original. There is a fine crack to the front to the left of the mask but isn't running through the frame. Generally, the piece is in good original condition.

The interior is all period and in untouched condition. The exterior has been sanded down and reploished losing its original decoration. The top has been replaced with a later mahogany piece of timber.
