An Arthur Brett of Norwich mahogany side table, two drawers and raised on tapered legs of square section. Height 76 cm, width 106 cm, depth 31 cm. CONDITION REPORT: This lot is stable. The structure is secure, it does not wobble when moved. The drawers slide freely. There are no visible losses to the table cockbeading or any other areas. There are areas of wear on the edge of the rectangular top. There are indentations and numerous scratches to the waxed surface.
An Art Deco walnut veneered dining table, rectangular with rounded corners and with shaped support with crossbanding. Height 74 cm, length 165 cm, width 86 cm. CONDITION REPORT: The table is structurally sound and in generally very good original condition. The top is flat and does not appear to have had any repairs and there are no significant watermarks. The veneer is very slightly lifting in places and the polish a little dry but there are no significant splits or losses. The frieze is in generally good condition all round with one veneer stress fracture vertically around one corner and other very extremely minor nibbles. The crossbanded edge to the top again has minor veneer nibbles but no significant issues. The end supports are in generally good order as is the stretcher. There are veneer losses to the bottom edges of the rounded leg sections and other minor nibbles in other places. The height to the underside of the skirt is 65 cm.
A 19th century cricket table, with angled moulded legs. Height 72 cm, diameter 63 cm. CONDITION REPORT: The table is structurally sound with no loose leg joints. The top is slightly undulating. It is manufactured from four sections of pine and there are gaps between each section with very old filler between. There are also numerous ring marks, scuffs and scratches. The table base is a little dirty but in generally good order. There is no evidence of any woodworm.
An early 20th century Arts and Crafts style oak occasional table, oval with shaped and circular shelves. Height 74 cm, width 84 cm, depth 46 cm. CONDITION REPORT: This occasional table is structurally sound. There is some discolouration and very limited water damage to the oval top. Some areas of wear in line with age. Otherwise this piece of furniture is in good condition.
A Regency rosewood turnover top tea table, with beaded edge with four scroll supports and quatreform base terminating in brass castors. Height 75 cm, width 99 cm, depth 49 cm. CONDITION REPORT: The table is structurally sound. It is in reasonably good original condition. The top is in generally good order but does have some very shallow surface scratches but no significant cracks or issues. The top is a little warped when viewed from the sides and also the front left hand corner. The lower section of the top is also sprung away from the base. There is a section of beading missing to the front right hand corner which should be visible on our image. The interior is generally very clean but does have one ring mark. The supports beneath are all in good order as are the legs which all have the original brass castors. There are no loose joints and no evidence of any woodworm.
An Edwardian inlaid mahogany dressing table or desk, with plate glass top and fitted with five frieze drawers and kneehole recess raised on tapered legs of square section terminating in spade feet. Height 76 cm, width 121 cm, depth 54 cm. CONDITION REPORT: The lot is in generally very good order. It is structurally very sound with no loose joints. Having a plate glass top has protected the top surface. All drawers are in good condition and run smoothly. All handles are original and present. The side panels are in good condition as are the legs which are free from any losses and repairs. There is no evidence of any woodworm.
Two similar Edwardian inlaid mahogany oval occasional tables, one with shelf. Heights 71 cm and 74 cm. CONDITION REPORT: The table with the slightly splayed legs is structurally sound with no significant damage, no repairs and no restoration. It is generally a little dirty and there are some old liquid marks, scuffs and scratches to the top. There are however no lifting veneers and no missing pieces of marquetry. The table frieze and legs are all in good condition with only minor scuffs around the extremities. The other tabletop has some fading and more significant ring and watermarks but no lifting veneers and no losses. The frieze has some evidence of old woodworm which appears long gone. Where the quadrant sections of frieze meet behind each leg has been reinforced with screws and glue. The legs are all in generally good order with only minor scuffs and marks. One stretcher has been broken in half at the knee and glued.
An 18th century Irish mahogany tripod table with carved baroque scallop shells, circa 1760. Height 71 cm, diameter 83 cm (see illustration). CONDITION REPORT: The table is structurally sound and in generally good condition. The top is flat with no serious condition issues. The shell carvings have some old edge nibbles and small losses none of which in our opinion are serious. The snap action operates as it should. The centre column is in generally good order as are the legs. One leg has had an old repair and the join line is just visible. The repair is strong and secure. The legs ends are a little scuffed and marked as one would expect. We can see no evidence of any woodworm.
An 18th century mahogany Irish gate legged dining table, with carved braganza feet. Height 72 cm, width 112 cm, length 117 cm (see illustration). CONDITION REPORT: The table is structurally sound. The leaves are not warped. The top has been repolished at some time in recent years and has a French type polish finish. The legs are all structurally sound. There have been some old repairs. There are also some repairs which are again old to the underside of the carcass. We can see no evidence of any woodworm.
A gnome man adzed oak coffee table in the manner of Mouseman Thompson of Kilburn. Height 44 cm, width 106 cm, depth 41 cm. CONDITION REPORT: The table is structurally sound and in generally very good order. There are no significant stains to the top and no splits or bad scratches. The end supports and shelf are also in good condition, there is no evidence of any woodworm.
A Gee & Holmes Ltd Sheffield Kings pattern silver plated canteen of cutlery, comprising 12 table forks, 12 table knives, 12 dessert forks, 12 smaller knives, 6 serving spoons, 12 dessert spoons, 12 soup spoons, 12 pairs of fish knives and forks, 6 cake forks and knives, 12 coffee and 12 teaspoons, salad servers and a silver handled cheese knife.
A silver table cigarette box, with boxwood interior, engine turned, Birmingham 1939. Width 16.5 cm. CONDITION REPORT: The box is in generally extremely good condition. There are only very minor surface dents and blemishes but no significant issues. The piece is not monogrammed. The lid closes crisply. There are no gaps. The hallmarks are a little rubbed but are legible. The engine turning is a little worn in places through polishing.
A Chinese cloisonne table lamp base. Height including light fitting 28 cm. CONDITION REPORT: The lamp base is in reasonably good condition but it does have some surface blemishes as is often the case. One of the shields has had some painted repair and is a little rough to touch. At the widest part of the base there are also some losses and small dents which can be felt with finger ends. The height excluding the light fitting is 19.5 cm and the maximum diameter +/- 13.5 cm. The piece requires rewiring.
