PORTSMOUTH 1948/9 AUTOGRAPHS Menu and Table plan for the Championship 1948-1949 Celebration Dinner & Dance at the Savoy Restaurant 15/8/1949 which is signed on the back by 20 players including Scoular, Barlow, Bowler, Harris, Froggatt, Henderson, Clarke, Thompson, Dawson, Robson, Evans, Hindmarsh and Reid plus Easson and Thackeray who played in the 1934 FA Cup Final. The menu is slightly marked. Generally good
READING FC 1898 Four page fold over programme, Reading v Bedminster, 8/10/1898, Southern League Division 1. First team game, both teams finished mid-table with Bedminster totalling 24 points, the same as a certain Tottenham Hotspur !! . Bedminster played one more season after this and then merged with Bristol City. Generally good

Brown pot has loose knop, lid bent slightly out of circular, lidded box has missing cloisonne to the inside. Appears to have had some tape or something on previously as there are some marks. There is also a line of scratches, possibly the item has been held in a clamp or something. A Chinese rosewood framed occasional table, the Rosso marble top within a plain frame on four scroll supports, within cloud spandrels CONDITION REPORTS Diameter of top approx 94 cm x approx 44.5 cm in height. Marble top does not fit perfectly into the body, some of the body's joint are slightly loose - see images. Some very small splits, various small scratches and impressed marks throughout and some losses to the edges with splits - see images. Various general signs of wear and tear throughout expected with age and use.

Three 18th Century Chinese blue and white elongated octagonal dishes, each decorated with pots on a rustic rootwood table beneath a willow tree, within a butterfly and foliate decorated border CONDITION REPORTS All three plates have fractures, crazing, chips to the edges, firing faults, surface scratches, general wear and tear etc. One has been significantly broken and repaired, both with iron staples and some glue like material. A Copeland Spode's Italian blue and white transfer decorated tureen and cover, a circa 1900 biscuit fired porcelain figure group of two children seated with basket of apples, a pair of Continental porcelain figures of a drummer and hurdy gurdy player, a Volkstadt figure group of musicians, a pair of biscuit fired porcelain wall pockets and an ebony and silver mounted dressing table tray, mirror and a brush CONDITION REPORTS The tureen cover has a large chip to the edge. The figure of two children, the basket handle has been off and re-glued, there is a large chip to the back at the base and another smaller chip to the back base. The pair of figures - she is missing a thumb, her hand has been off and re-glued nad there seems to be some kind of deposit to her sleeve. He is missing the end of his flute/woodwind instrument. There are some losses to the extremities including the flowers. The Volkstadt figure group has had significant repairs to various places including the instrument on the floor, his neck, his hands. Her hands are chipped but not repaired, the tip is missing from her shoe. The wall pockets - one has been broken to the top left hand corner and re-glued and there is some chipping to the cornucopia to the front. The ebonised tray has a chunk missing from one corner, staining to varnish, wear to varnish in various places, scratching to the mirror. All items have general wear and tear to include surface scratches, light chips, and are in need of a good clean - see images for more details

An early 20th Century oak umbrella stick stand, together with a folding green baize top card table CONDITION REPORTS Stick stand has missing drip tray and various small scratches, marks, small chips to the edges. The frame will need tightening as slightly rickety. One end has large loss to the foot. Green baize table is rickety with marks, scratches and green baize needs replacing. Rusted mechanism, both items show general various signs of wear and tear throughout
A silver hip flask of plain form (marks rubbed), together with a silver dressing table box of circular form, the hinged lid with engine turned enamelled decoration raised on three hoof feet (Birmingham, 1926) CONDITION REPORTS The hip flask marks are rubbed, there is surface scratching, the lid doesn't quite fit. The feet of the dressing table box have been pushed in slightly and not quite circular to the base. There are other small knocks and dents all over, especially to the base. Some light surface scratching to the enamel and some remains of cleaning fluid etc Internally gilding is rubbed and scratched. The lining is worn.
