The card mount with details of the Grand Studio Malta and clear ink signature “Charles Beresford Admiral 2/10/1914. Contained in original oak glazed table frame. Size overall 10 x 12 inches.
A 19th century or earlier mosaic depicting the Last Super in three individual panels, the central panels with Gothic arch top shows Christ and Disciples flanked by two tablet-shaped panels of similar size depicting Disciples at the table, the tesserae made of glass and stone, the central panel 110 x 110cm, the side panels each approx 90 x 53cm. Provenance: Originally on the wall in the garden of All Saints Church in Birkdale, Southport. CONDITION REPORT Some damage to the panels, with much tile loss to the sides and centres.
