The painting has slightly dropped in the frame. Two small areas of paint loss to the lower left corner and two tiny ones to the right of this within the table cloth. Areas where the texture of the panel is showing through. The odd brush bristle trapped within the paint. Some areas of fine craquelure within the lower left, a small area where the paint is lifting slightly within the left of the table cloth and one to the right side. Otherwise appears in good overall condition.

Slight stretcher shadow. Areas of retouching in particular to the grapes on both sides, to the upper left, left of the green bottle and to smaller sporadic areas of the background. Small area of lifting within the brown vessle left hand side. A fine horizontal crack approximately 9cm in length through the top of the green bottle, one approximately 15cm below this and one 3cm in size to the centre of the right edge. Another vertical crack to the left of the bottle down through into the brown vessel. Possible shrinkage to the red flowers towards the bottom of the table cloth. The odd further smaller minor crack. Comprising; a German floral etched glass oblong scent bottle with a stopper in the form of a putto, and a .930 standard neck-rim and base pierced and embossed with cavorting putti, with German marks and import hallmarks for John George Piddington, London 1906, approx. 15cm high overall (6 inches); a tapering clear-cut g;ass scent bottle with a foliate embossed neck-rim, the London marks rubbed; a boat-shaped glass scent bottle with plain silver neck-rim and mount, London 1928; and a pair of heart-shaped dressing table jars, the scroll embossed silver mounts with the mark of Thomas Hayes, Birmingham 1903, each approx. 6.5cm overall
A matched set of twelve William IV and later silver fiddle, thread and shell table spoons. Each engraved with conforming foliate script initials, comprising; six with the mark mark of William Eaton, London 1834; three with the mark of Elizabeth Eaton, London 1846; two with the mark of Mary Chawner, London 1836 and one with the mark of Benoni Stephens, London 1845, the 12 weigh 1238g (a little over 39 3/4 ozs)
