Lot 425

A 19th Century Continental beech pier table with Sienna marble top CONDITION REPORTS Joints are very loose and coming apart and the carved decoration has some losses. Numerous splits in the wood, mainly on the legs and and the carved decorated areas. Wood is very faded and discoloured, most of the piece is covered in areas of mildew. Numerous scratches, dents and cracks to the wood. The lower tier has completely come of and has some breakages. The marble top has numerous chips and surface scratches. See pctures for details. Height: 88.5 cms, length: 120 cms, depth: 50 cms (height is without marble top.)

An early 20th Century Chinese rosewood pedestal desk, the plain top above two short and central single drawer over two pedestals, both with single drawer and united by an undertier CONDITION REPORTS The top of the table has numerous scratches dents, large areas of fading, discolouration and staining. There are numerous areas of the varnish that are missing and lifting. There is an area of loss to a section of the moulding on the left side of the table. Width is 98 cm. There is warping evidentto both leaves, one in particular. Has surface scratching and is in need of a clean. Chips, knocks and scrapes all over conducive with age and use.
