An 18th century bur walnut and herringbone crossbanded side table, the shaped rectangular top with a crossbanded border inlaid with chevrons above a frieze drawer, shaped apron raised upon front slender cabriole legs, shaped outset rear legs, 70cms x 75cms 46cms CONDITION REPORT: The rectangular top quarter veneered, herringbone inlay cross banded border some water spotting on the right hand quarter at the back, 2 three piece of veneer have been inset on the left hand quarter back measure approx. 5 x 7cms triangle and just behind some water damage, possibly two other inset pieces veneer front left and right quarters, original draw linings and bottom board, lock back plates and handles traditional in appearance, some age, indents on the back where they may have had strengthening loops, traces on the back of an earlier of a lock plate, roundel indent which may indicate the front escutcheon may have been replaced,old traditional style, the rectangular moulded border six pieces of veneer missing, the largest piece back left hand side 8cms, one small piece of veneer missing on the front shape apron, one piece poorly in filled and one piece on the right in filled reasonable, front legs good condition, back shape legs minor worm back right hand leg dead, a piece in filled into the back left leg near the bottom towards the pointing inside angular section approx. 2cm x 8cms.
