A Regency figured and crossbanded mahogany games table, the rounded rectangular, foldover top baise-lined, the sectional apron barrel fronted and with fluted and scroll angle brackets, on a turned pillar and shaped rectangular platform, on four fluted and scrolled splay supports, cast brass paw caps and castors, 90cm x 43.5cm x 72.5cm
An early 20th century gold amethyst and split pearl brooch. The circular-shape amethyst and split pearl surround, to the openwork gallery. Diameter 2.7cms. Weight 12.1gms. Overall condition good. Surface scratches and discolouration in keeping with general wear. The amethyst is a dark to mid dark purple with strong saturation showing typical inclusions visible with the naked eye, a fingerprint type inclusion can be seen to the centre of the table. Some small scratches can be seen to the table with the naked eye with some facet edges showing some abrasion. The split pearls are fairly well matched with a white to slightly discoloured silvery grey hue. The lustre is good to fair with some pink overtones. Without the aid of laboratory equipment, it has not been possible to determine if these cultured pearls are from a fresh or saltwater source.
