A George III mahogany tripod table, on a vase turned column, 40 cm diameter Condition report Report by RB The mahogany top, approx. 1.5 cm deep, with a couple of areas of staining to it, but more importantly quite a number of chunks and nibbles from the side, on an oak (not mahogany) base, in a good dirty/slightly bituminous finish, with a repair section to the base, the feet with normal wear and tear. Overall very pretty colour to the top and although it is a small table it is quite heavy. Report by NG Top fixed, does not tilt.
A Victorian pine farmhouse style side table, the three quarter gallery above one false and two real frieze drawers, on tapering legs, 195 cm wide See illustration Condition report Report by RB From a Somerset deceased estate, it is in a market fresh/dirty condition lacking quite a lot of the finish, especially to the table top, generally dirty as probably stored in an outhouse, quite a lot of wear but suspect with little work it would be greatly improved, general wear to the legs, handles look original.
A pair of D shaped tables, with faux marble painted tops, above a shaped frieze and on tapering turned legs, with faux maple decoration, 127 cm wide (2) See illustration Condition report Report by MW The pair of tables have faux marble tops i.e. painted wood to look like marble. The carcass of the tables would appear to be pine. Some scratching, one table strengthened underneath with a piece of pine screwed on it, there are two rectangular holes to the back rail on each, indicating the possibility of rails being inserted to support a leaf (which are not present)
A Victorian octagonal centre table, veneered in walnut, the top with floral marquetry inlay, on three dolphin supports and a concave sided platform base, 138 cm wide See inside front cover colour illustration Condition report Report by RB The top is split where the walnut is veneered on to the boards, in a horizontal line underneath the central inlaid urn of flowers, a couple of other smaller splits, with some repairs, predominantly to the darker border, the top is held to the base with four bolts, but does not tilt, a degree of wear and tear to the base, probably mostly from an over-enthusiastic vacuum cleaner. Overall pretty good, with the exception of the split mentioned previously.
