A fine and unusual pair of antique Anglo-Irish neo-classical adam style green painted console table with inlaid marble tops and applied green Wedgwood Jasperware plaques, probably early 19thC, each table on four tapering legs, with carved swags and spade feet, the veiled drapery style painting was originally introduced by the Parisienne Marchand Mercers in 18thC France
Attributed to Gillows, a fine inlaid mahogany reading stand/table, c1800, the finely grained rectangular rounded cornered mahogany top with inlaid segmented satinwood roundel to the centre, the border with a finely raised wood border for sheet papers, on a ratchet hinged fitting to tilt with original gilt brass ring to the sliding pole on ring tuned and three out swept legs with brass ball feet with a single drawer to the side, 48 x 38 x 73cm
Robert Thompson Mouseman: A small light oak refectory table with Adzed top (70cm x 107cm) together with four matching open lattice back dining chairs, all with trademark mouse decoration on legs. (Chairs sympathetically recovered in tan leather). NB originally purchased by the vendors in 1995 from Robert Thompson's Craftsmen, Kilburn, York as 'secondhand' (see invoice).

(Mr Upshall was employed post-war in Devonport Dockyard as Inspector of Shipwrights and Divers).
