A large Victorian pollard oak extending dining table, the circular radially veneered top with six additional circumference leaves, on an associated octagonal column with splayed base, 196cm diameter x 286cm diameter extended. Illustrated Note: probably the best known type of extending patent circular dining table is the 'Capstan', invented and patented by Robert Jupe in 1835.
