A good late 17th Century ebonised table clock by Thomas Finch of London, the 7ins brass dial with silvered chapter ring with Roman and Arabic numerals, matted dial centre with mock pendulum aperture and date aperture and with turned winding holes, to the eight day two train verge movement striking on a bell, the backplate engraved with mask and leaf scroll ornament, contained in ebonised rectangular case with arched top, turned gilt brass finials and conforming folding handle, frieze inset with pierced and engraved brass panels and on bracket feet, 15.5ins high Note: Thomas Finch was recorded as an apprentice in 1678, member of The Clockmakers Company 1706
