A 19th Century Continental dressing table / desk set comprising inkwell with pen stand and lidded box in the Louis XV taste, the pale yellow and "jewelled" panels within a gilt metal framework CONDITION REPORTS The box has numerous ecretions and scuffs nad scratches on the gilt metal work. The silk on the base of the box is ripped and has numerous holes. Light scuffs and scratches to the jewelled decorated panels. Appears to bea small crack approx 2 cm long on the top left hand side of one of the jewel panels. The inkwell and stand has light scratches and scuffs and also ecretions and scuffs to the gilt metal work. Both items show general wear and tear commensurate with age. The box appears to have the frame work slightly dented to the front - see images for further details
