An early 20th c. hallmarked silver dressing table set, comprising mirror, two hairbrushes and two clothes brushes, the backs finished in 'feathered' lemon yellow enamel, contained in orig. plush-lined leatherette presentation case bearing the name of Crouch of Cardiff, overall dimensions approx. 11 x 15 in (28 x 38 cm.). This dressing table set was, according to Lloyd Williams's wife, for Christmas. Lloyd Williams was for many years Ivor Novello's secretary. (1)

Truthful Lens 105 - first issue of 1871: 'Many photographers recorded the devastation of Paris and surroundings following the Franco-Prussian War and the uprising of the Commune. This, however, is the only collection published with descriptive text and letterpress captions... Among the subjects are views of the gutted City Hall, of the Tuileries, Saint Cloud, the overturned Colonne Vendome, etc.'. (2)
