A rare Sèvres pot-pourri 'Pompadour' vase and cover: of oviform with six pierced apertures edged with moulded foliage to the shoulder and cover, painted with two lobed cartouches, probably by Vielliard, one depicting a group of figures around a table possibly on rent day, a playful spaniel and cat below, the latter hiding under a stool, the reverse with a figure outside a thatched building within an extensive landscape, reserved on a foliate gilded pale turquoise ground, the shoulder with floral festoons, on stepped circular base, unmarked, circa 1760, 24 cm high [cover damaged and re-stuck, replacement wood finial, tiny chip to rim, minor chips to base and wear to gilding] and black marble stand. *Notes.
