A fine and large 18th century style (later) mahogany serving table made by the Imperial Furniture Company of Oliver Musker in Delhi (Mount Coote) to an Anglo-Irish design using the best mahogany and craftsmen; the gadrooned top above a central lion mask flanked by carved flower heads and swags in high relief, raised on cabriole-style legs carved at the knees with acanthus and terminating in animal paw-style feet (167cm wide x 92cm deep x 91cm high)Condition Report: The back of the table exhibits different carving than on the front. The top has a few minor scratches and scuffs but nothing too major. Overall the condition is good and it can be reported that the table has recently been exported from India by a private client who had it made to order whilst living out there some years ago. It has a very authentic mid 18th century 'look' about it. It is very heavy. The top could be remedied with minimum effort and so, overall, is in very good condition.
A early 19th century Regency period rosewood and brass inlaid work table; two graduated full-width flush drawers, two dummy drawers opposing and flanked by two dropped leaves above a wool slide, raised on high turned tapering annulated legs terminating in brass castors (46.5cm (leaves down) x 77cm high)
A late Regency period mahogany writing table; galleried thumbnail-moulded top above two half-width drawers retaining original gadrooned handles, raised on turned tapering reeded legs (121 cm wide x 51.5cm deep X 75cm high)Condition Report: The top has faded (appears to have been in the sun) and there are some minor scratches. The legs are darker than the top and there is no evidence of breakage or repairs on the back. The galleried back looks original and the drawers run smoothly, the drawer lining has shrunk across the grain a little bit resulting in a small gap between the rebate and the drawer front inside. Overall it appears in good original condition.
A 19th century Chinese porcelain bowl decorated in underglaze blue with four clawed dragons contesting the sacred pearl of wisdom (damage and re-glued to one area of lip) together with other blue-and-white,to include one further 19th century Chinese-style octagonal platter by Copeland (late Spode) and a pair of early 20th century cut-glass table lustresCondition Report: The Chinese bowl has had breakages around the rim and has been re-glued. The octagonal platter has had a plate hanging sticker on the reverse but appears in reasonable condition. The large round, transfer decorated blue & white English bowl appears in good condition and the early 19th century English square bowl is very cracked and damaged and has been re-glued badly. The small Kangxi-style porcelain jar and cover is fairly modern. Within the lot are also two late 19th/early 20th century cut glass table lustres.
A large George III style (later) mahogany partner's library table; the green leather and gilt-tooled inset thumbnail moulded top above three cross-banded drawers each side and raised on square tapering moulded legs terminating in large brass and china castors (169cm wide x 122cm deep x 81cm high)
A late 19th century brass-mounted fold-over top card table, the quartered veneered top above a frieze with classical-style Jasperware roundels, raised on square tapering legs terminating in brass feet (65cm wide x 40cm deep x 75cm high)The top appears does appear to be very scratches where the varnish has rubbed away and at the back there are several indentations (see image). There some holes to the baize on the inside (see image). It is noted that there are generally scuffs, scratches etc., commensurate with age (see images).
A good early 19th century Regency period mahogany table having one extra leaf; reeded edge above two pillar supports each with three downswept reeded legs terminating in brass castors (191cm (leaf in) x 122cm)Condition Report: The table has been re-polished on the top. The colour is not particularly uniform, the central section is darker than the two end sections. There are old scratches and scuffs to the table top and small indentations. The table top looks fairly straight when fully extended although the middle section has bowed very slightly. The castors are original and they are present. The underside of the table also exhibits scuffs and scratches etc. as you would expect commensurate with age. The table appears sturdy and certainly fit for purpose. The height to the table skirt is 71cm.
A late 18th/early 19th century Italianate rosewood fold-over top card table; marquetry frieze and the fold-over top headed with elaborate marquetry scrolling foliage and opening to reveal rosewood and banded interior, raised on square tapering boxwood-strung legs, restored and with bowed top section to rear (80cm wide x 40cm deep x 76cm high)
