The second is a translation of Michell's important treatise containing recognition of the law of the inverse square for magnetic attraction and repulsion, first published in Cambridge as Treatise of Artificial Magnets in 1750.
An early 20th Century Chinese Xuantong mark & period blue & white porcelain bowl. The bowl of large size with hand painted scenes depicting figures playing games at table and landscapes. The central well of the bowl decorated with another landscape scene and the border decorated with repeating botanical decoration. The underside with four character mark in underglaze blue. Chip to rim and hairline present. Measures approx; 12cm x 29cm.
A part canteen Georgian silver Old English pattern cutlery, decorated with the crest of Sir William Hicks, 7th Bart (1754-1834), comprising: twenty four dessert forks, twenty two table forks; twelve dessert spoons; two basting spoons; and two sauce ladles, different dates and makers, 3125g approximately.
1950's occasional table, the hardboard figure with printed paper depicting American diner roller-skating waitress holding hardwood turned circular tray.height 86cm (34")Some minor scuffs and wear to edges of the cut-out figure (see photographs), replacement tray.
Silverlining workshop occasional table with square top consisting of 9 panels (3x3 square) of matched burr amboyna veneer. In the centre of the table is a hallmarked 375 silver square and the table edge is finished with 3mm wide silver metal stringing. The tabletop stands on two parallel pieces of wood united. 60cm wide, 60cm deep, 36.5cm high.The table is in good condition with no damage apart from some minor scratches to the tabletop. In my opinion, it would not require repolishing.

Tim Stead, late 20th Century elm dining table & six chairs. The table with a central rift that splits the table into two sections standing on four legs each united by stretchers. 146cm wide, 138cm deep, 74cm high. The six chairs are high back and carved with a rectangular motif in the top left or right side of the chair back. Each chair has a scooped seat with four square section legs. All chairs are similar in design but vary slightly in execution and by measurements. 39cm wide, 50cm deep, 119cm high (seat height 44cm). No signature or stamps on the chairs or table.
