An exceptional 18th century joined oak Refectory Table, the top formed from a single piece of characterful timber with superb patina, the underside finished with chamfer on three sides, with one flat cut-down end, raised on trestle ends united by a later stretcher, 100in (254cm) long x 30in (76cm) wide, 3¼in thick. Note: by family tradition this table came from Battle Abbey, Sussex.

David Shepherd OBE FRSA FRGS (British 1931-2017) ARR Framed oil on canvas, signed, dated 1989 'Polar Bears, Mother and Two Cubs' 45cm x 70cm David Shepherd oil on board is in excellent condition throughout. There is a cluster of five tiny brown dots in the sky? Looks like paint loss. See detailed images. Provenance: Purchased from a David Shepherd exhibition at Frinton Gallery in 1989. Original receipt and a signed David Shepherd insurance valuation dated 2004 included. David Shepherd was one of Britains greatest wildlife artist who was one of the worlds most outspoken conservationists. Upon leaving school he travelled to Kenya with hope of becoming a game warden but rejected as having 'no talent'. He returned home and was rejected from slade school of Fine Art, London. However, he was taken in by artist Robin Goodwin who trained him for three years. David Shepherd became one of the most financially rewarded artists. Shepherd has brought pleasure to millions, his popular work appearing on table mats, plates and prints. His paintings are not only prized by collectors but have raised huge sums for conservation.
Ladies diamond solitaire ring, round brilliant cut diamond. Approx. 3.8 carats on white metal shank. Ring size MBright stone which doesn't show a yellow tinge when placed against white. No inclusions noticeable to the naked eye. Under 10x magnification there are a few very small inclusions noted under the table. At one claw there is a very small chip and some cloudiness to the edge. In the uploaded additional images this area is to the right hand side of the stone. The slight inclusions can also be viewed when image is enlarged. Stone is well cut and all claws are present.
Victorian walnut and ebony leather topped desk bur walnut top with green leather insert with gilt brass edge with twin fitted drawers on four turned tapered ebony legs. 129cm long 67cm depth 70cm high Legs are sturdy and table is steady. Drawers are in good condition and open freely. No damage to the beading though small patches have losses to the gilding. Leather shows wear, watermarks and fading. Some peeling to veneer on one side of the leather.
An Anglo-Indian ebony and ivory writing box mounted to a writing table with a single drawer, revealing a felt writing slope raised on a square tapered legs (damages to box) 58cm long 40cm wide 89cm high. The Anglo-Indian ebony and ivory writing box is in poor condition and requires restoration. The cover is seperated from its hinges, the cover has numerous pieces missing, ivory/bone border in particular, there are some pieces, edging for cover etc inside the box. Please examine the additional photographs whcih highlight some of the damages to this item.
Victorian mahogany telescope dining table, moulded rectangular top raised on reeded baluster legs (no castors) with winder and five leaves. Extends to 300cm long 132cm wideTable has five narrow leaves, which have been cut down from wider leaves originallyl. The leaves are in good condition with no fading but a couple of scratches and a small blemish. There are two splits to the wood, one on either side of the leaves. The left hand side of the table has slight fading due to sunbleaching though the colour is consistent as opposed to patchy. Comes with winder and winds smoothly. One leave has a slight sag. The edges of the leaves do not line up fully. Total length of table when extended 300cm, distance between legs when extended approximately 260cm.
