A George III mahogany deception table:, one flap hinges, the other with a brass catch and hinged fall revealing a vacant interior on square chamfered legs, the top 49cm (1ft 7 1/4in) x 53.5cm (1ft 9in) extended. *Notes Thomas Sheraton in his Cabinet Dictionary of 1803 stated that the function of a deception Pembroke table was 'to answer the purpose of a pot cupboard or any other secret use, which we would hide from the eye of a stranger'.
A George III mahogany and inlaid oval Pembroke table:, in the Sheraton manner, bordered with boxwood and ebony lines, the hinged top with a wide satinwood band decorated with trailing foliage and flowerheads in geometric elliptical designs, the kingwood crossbanded frieze fitted with a drawer, on square tapered legs with pendant husk ornament, headed with oval paterae, terminating in brass cappings and leather castors, the top 76.5cm (2ft 6in) x 95.5cm (3ft 1 1/2in) extended (one loper missing).
By Heal & Son Ltd - An oak rectangular sideboard:, with a narrow ledge back, containing three central drawers flanked by a pair of enclosed cupboards on square section legs united by H stretcher, 137cm (4ft 6in) long, bears an ivory dot 'Heal & Sons Ltd London W', together with a Heals type oak dining table of refectory type on square section dual trestle end supports, united by a stretcher, the top 168cm (5ft 6 1/4in) x 76cm (2ft 6in), the underside stamped with numerals '88', a set of four oak dining chairs with triple curved splat backs and rush seats on square tapered legs, united by stretchers and a rectangular side table on square legs, united by H stretcher, the top 84cm (2ft 9in) x 46cm (1ft 6in).
An early Victorian rosewood drop flap work table:, the hinged top with rounded corners, fitted with two frieze drawers and with sliding well below, on U-shaped stretcher tapered pillar and quatreform base, terminating in bun feet and castors, the top 43.5cm (1ft 5in) x 83cm (2ft 8 3/4in) extended.
