A GEORGE II WALNUT SIDE TABLE the rectangular quarter-veneered top above a single frieze drawer flanked by four conforming small drawers above a shaped apron, raised on cabriole legs with pad feet. 69.5cm high, 81cm wide, 50.5cm deepIn unrestored condition. The quarter-veneered top with numerous cracks and lifting. The lowboy has had extensive worm, which has been treated and filled. The central drawer lock has been removed. Shaped kneehole with split approx 10cm long with piece of veneer missing and repair work. Strengthening around legs with repair work on brackets. The back left leg replaced. Some heightening on the front legs. Underside with new drawer runners on the right-hand drawer. Left and right-hand panel with cut/repair marks above legs.
