An Edwardian rosewood two tier lamp table, with centre brass column, brass supports and legs. Width 44 cm. CONDITION REPORT: Height is adjustable. At its highest to the light fitting the height is 185 cm to the on/off switch on the light fitting. At its lowest the height is 157 cm to the same point. The light is currently plugged in and operating. The adjustable mechanism works. The two rectangular rosewood shelves are in good condition. The four supports and legs are all also in good order. The piece could be used or resold in its current state without the need for any repair or restoration. The light shade is serviceable but a little discoloured.
A 19th century mahogany table, with Italian Scagliola top, bearing label "Peter Della Valle & Brothers, Manufacturers & Painters of Scagliola, No. 1473 Per Porta Cappuccini, Leghorn", supported by a faceted column with octagonal base and short bun feet. Diameter 88 cm (see illustration).
A Regency mahogany worktable, rectangular, with rounded corners, frieze drawer with wooden knob handles, blue pleated cloth bag and all raised on ring turned tapered legs. Width 61 cm. CONDITION REPORT: The top surface is flat but does have old ink and watermarks. There is also a stress fracture to the front right hand corner. the colour is however generally good. The drawer front is in generally good condition. There is a missing lock escutcheon and a small loss to the bottom right hand corner of the cockbeading. The braid to the cloth bag is a little loose in places but there are no real condition issues with the pleated material. The legs have no breaks and are in generally very good condition. The piece is structurally sound. The pull out basket is contemporary to the work table. It operates as it should. When the basket is fully withdrawn from the table there is a 10 cm loss to the bottom edge of the front runner. This does not impede the operation of the basket. The cockbeading that is missing is in the bottom right hand corner of the drawer front. This is minor. There is a further section of beading missing to the right hand side just above the sliding bag finished edge strip.
A Victorian mahogany extending dining table, with two leaves, recessed frieze and raised on five turned tapered legs terminating in brass and ceramic castors. Length extended 250 cm, width 153 cm (see illustration). CONDITION REPORT: This is a pull out dining table. The mechanism is all complete. The condition is generally very good. The table top is flat and does not sag. The colour is universal. There are some minor surface scratches to the surface as one would expect but no significant marks. One end has an old stress fracture to the mahogany but this is not problematic. The frieze has some stress fractures to the veneers particularly around each corner which is only visible when viewed at ground level. There is one small veneer loss to one corner. The legs are all structurally sound and the castors in good order and original.
A Regency mahogany brass strung and ebonised sofa table, with rounded corners, two frieze drawers and silhouette end supports united a centre stretcher and with downswept legs terminating in brass castors. Width 124 cm (see illustration). CONDITION REPORT: Depth open 81 cm, depth with flap down 54.5 cm. The drawer linings are good quality but not oak. They are in our opinion pine. The top of the table is in generally very good condition. All of the brass stringing is present and correct. There are one or two minor surface scratches but no issues. The top is not warped neither is the flap. The frieze drawers are in good condition as are the sides of the piece. All supports are in good condition and the piece is structurally sound. There are no visible repairs or any breaks to the legs. The castors are original. The handles may be later replacements but there is no evidence of any others having been fitted in that there are no extra holes in the backs of the drawers. The table could be used or resold in its current state without the need for any repairs or any restoration.
