Merewether, FSA who was a well-known and enthusiastic antiquary was presented with this table by Queen Adelaide and purchased at his sale held at Madely Hereford by The Revd. T. J. Moore from whose widow the present owner bought it.'Exhibited at the Bradford Exhibition. In generally good condition but with minor scuffing to the front left of the top. Slight raising to the inlay around the centre of the fan. Some ring marks to the back right of the top, and further minor ring marks to the front right. Some cracks running across the frieze from the left to right, broken by the central cartouche. Some banding missing around the front left leg. One of the sides of the spade foot on the back right is loose. Some evidence of historic woodworm to the back.
